“Transfer and Save” Program To Become Permanent
May 3, 2011

ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) is pleased to announce that the “Transfer and Save” program for plastic pipe and fitting manufacturers has been so popular that the program will be continued on a permanent basis. This program is intended to streamline and simplify the certification process by offering plastic pipe and fitting manufacturers an opportunity to transfer their existing listings from other certification bodies.

“We recently received inquiries from a number of plastic pipe and fitting manufacturers regarding this program,” says Dawn LaFleur-Qualley, Manager of ICC-ES Certification Programs. “The general request was to keep the program in place so that these manufacturers can take advantage of it. As usual, we listened to our clients’ needs and decided to make this a continuous program.”

“Under this program, manufacturers of plastic pipe and fittings can certify their products to NSF/ANSI 61, NSF/ANSI 14, ASTM standards, the International Plumbing Code® (IPC®), the International Residential Code® (IRC®) and the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) all under the same report,” says Ms. LaFleur-Qualley. “The savings are tremendous, and now manufacturers and new applicants can take advantage of this initiative for an unlimited time to reduce their expenses.”
