2009 Energy Harvesting & Storage Conference
September 7, 2009

IDTechEx is hosting the world’s largest event on Energy Harvesting & Storage on November 3rd-4th in Denver, Colorado. Uniquely, the focus of the event is to address requirements from end users from a range of different vertical industries, with the first day of this two day conference dedicated to just that. Reflecting the commercial interest, there is a large focus on military needs and experiences. Dr. Richard Waters from the US Military SPAWAR program will discuss their work powering wireless sensors using kinetic energy harvesters. The US Navy, Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin discuss applications of wireless sensors and their energy harvesting needs. Presentations from BP, Adidas, Structural Graphics, Emerson, NASA, Hospital Corporation of America, InfraTab, The Facility and others give end user needs and case studies from a magnitude of different vertical industries.

The second day of the conference, held over parallel tracks, covers the full breadth of technology progress from the different types of energy harvesters to thin film batteries, supercapacitors, ultra low power circuitry and displays, and Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and Real Time Locating Systems (RTLS). In total there are over 45 speakers from countries including the US, Germany, the UK, China, the Netherlands and Australia. There will be many exclusive announcements made.
