To ensure the best possible results for the VCU Energy and Sustainability Conference, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), which is hosting this event, and the Planning Committee are providing the new dates of January 30â31, 2013, for this inaugural conference.
This first-of-its kind event for Virginia, taking place at the Virginia Green-certified Greater Richmond Convention Center, will feature national and state leaders across a range of businesses and institutions who will inform participants about the real value of sustainability policy, practices, and procedures. These insights apply to your organization whether it is in the governmental, higher education or Kâ12 sectors, or in the commercial real estate, healthcare, or manufacturing sectors.
VCU has committed to even greater involvement in the conference by providing scholarships for 100 VCU students and involving not only the School of Business and School of Engineering, but also additional departments within the university.
Plenary Speakers, David Lubin, Director of the Palladium Group and Chairman of Esty Sustainability Innovators Working Group, and John Martin, President and CEO of Southeastern Institute of Research, will provide insights into how organizations are leveraging sustainability to gain a competitive advantage, and how national demographic trends are impacting sustainability.
