The 300-acre tract is being sold to Wilmot Properties LLC, under a 180-day due diligence period. Parcels identified as having development potential will be sold for $30,000 per acre. Acreage identified as not having development or facility construction potential will be sold for $10 per acre. The City of Danville and the Pittsylvania County Economic Development Departments issued a joint news release noting that the project represents a significant private investment in the region.
