$47 Million in Early-Stage R&D Now Available

The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Building Technologies Office (BTO) has announced the availability of up to $47 million for DE-FOA-0002090, “Buildings Energy Efficiency Frontiers & Innovation Technologies (BENEFIT) – 2019.” The BENEFIT funding opportunity announcement (FOA) funds high-impact, early-stage research to enable innovations that will improve energy productivity, improve flexibility, security and resiliency, and lower energy costs. BTO will select projects from three topic areas:

• Flexible Building Technologies,
• Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technologies, and
• Solid-state Lighting (SSL) Technologies.
