AASHTO Announces Annual Washington Briefing

The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), a nonprofit, nonpartisan association serving as a catalyst for excellence in transportation, has announced that its Annual Washington Briefing will be held on February 28-March 3, 2017, in Washington, D.C. at the Washington Court Hotel.

Key congressional leaders will be on hand to discuss transportation issues. Senate EPW Committee Ranking Member Tom Carper (D-Del.), will speak during the morning session, Wednesday, March 1st. He will be followed by House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-Pa.) and House T&I Committee Ranking Member Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.).

The agenda also includes a luncheon address on Thursday, March 2nd, by Sen. Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), Chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Surface Transportation and Merchant Marine Infrastructure, Safety and Security.

The speeches will be recorded on video and posted the same day on AASHTO’s YouTube Channel to find the videos beginning on Wednesday, March 1st, or visit the site in advance to subscribe and receive notifications when the videos are posted.
