ACEC Announces 2020 Engineering Excellence Awards
April 17, 2020

The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), a federation of 52 state and regional councils representing more than 600,000 engineers, architects, land surveyors and other specialists, has announced the winners of the 2020 Engineering Excellence Awards.

The 53rd Annual Engineering Excellence Awards Gala, originally scheduled for April 28, 2020, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C., has now been postponed until fall, on a date and at a location still to be determined.

Known industrywide as the “Academy Awards of the Engineering Industry” the 2020 EEA Gala promises to once again be the world’s most elegant and electrifying celebration of engineering excellence.

As the Council considers new dates and locations, we will keep any participant seats and sponsorships purchased intact for the rescheduled event. For questions about registration or refunds for the future event, to contact Daisy Nappier.

The 2020 Gala will honor a record 203 entries representing engineering excellence from throughout the nation and the world. Judging for the awards program took place in February and was conducted by a national 35-member panel of built environment leaders, along with experts from government, the media and academia. Award criteria focused on uniqueness and originality, technical innovation, social and economic value, and generating excitement for the engineering profession.

Recognition of all award winners, including the top winners—20 Honor Awards, 16 Grand Awards and the prestigious “Grand Conceptor Award” for the year’s most outstanding overall engineering achievement, will again be a night to remember.
