ASM Corrosion Seminar
April 29, 2008

The Eastern Virginia Chapter of the American Society for Metals (ASM) is sponsoring a seminar on corrosion – recognition of corrosion problems, mitigation strategies, and design for the prevention of corrosion.

In addition, 2.0 CEU credits are awarded upon successful completion of the course, an important consideration with regard to the new Virginia Professional Engineer licensing requirements.

The seminar will be held from May 20-22, 2008, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Applied Research Center at Jefferson Lab, 12050 Jefferson Ave, Newport News, Virginia 23606. Lunches will be provided.

This is a 3-day course normally offered by ASM International at their headquarters in Metals Park, Ohio. The Eastern Virginia Chapter ASM has arranged with ASM International to offer the course in our area.

The discounted registration deadline is May 5th, 2008.

This seminar is open to everyone. The cost to ASM members is $690 before May 5th, 2008 and $840 after May 5th, 2008. The cost to non-members is $790 before May 5th, 2008 and $940 after May 5th, 2008. Proceeds go toward the Eastern Virginia Chapter ASM scholarship fund.
