ASME Turbo Expo 2009

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Turbo Expo 2009, a conference addressing new developments in gas turbine technology, will be held June 8-12, 2009, at the World Center Marriott Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

ASME Turbo Expo Gas Turbine Technical Congress and Exposition will bring together engineers, research scientists, educators and other professionals involved in the design, operation, and maintenance of gas turbines. Combining a technical program and exhibit, Turbo Expo 2009 will cover engine design, materials, cogeneration, alternative fuels, combustion diagnostics, and micro-turbines, among other topics.

The three-day exposition will showcase the products and services of engine manufacturers, software developers, research laboratories, and other firms in the worldwide power industry.

The ASME International Gas Turbine Institute (IGTI), the primary sponsor of Turbo Expo 2009, has announced four chairmen who will be responsible for leadership, organization and arrangements. They are Barry Nicholls, executive conference chairman; Ronald Bunker, conference chairman; Howard Hodson, technical program chairman, and Andrew Burns, local liaison committee chairman.
