ASSE Professional Development Conference
February 6, 2008

The American Society of Safety Engineers’ (ASSE) Region IV (FL, GA, MS, AL, LA, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands,) Professional Development Conference (PDC) will be held March 6-7, 2008 at the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk Hotel, 1515 Prudential Drive, Jacksonville, FL.

The ASSE Region IV PDC will feature concurrent sessions on influenza pandemic planning, fall protection, hazard analysis, hexavalent chromium in the workplace, loud noises and hearing conservation, workers compensation, back injuries, safety and health standards and more.

In addition to the sessions, the conference features a golf tournament at the Country Club of Orange Park golf course and a dinner cruise. Proceeds from the ASSE Region IV PDC contribute to the Edwin Granberry, John Fleming and Ron Ross Safety Scholarships. Proceeds also help sponsor students’ expenses to the ASSE National, Region IV and ASSE Leadership conferences.

The Region IV PDC will also offer an OSHA 10-hour general industry class for an additional cost.
