ASSE "Slips, Trips and Falls: Best Practices and Standards" Symposium
September 21, 2009

To provide its members worldwide with opportunities to garner the latest information in occupational safety, health and the environment in the most convenient way, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) will offer a virtual symposium titled “Slips, Trips and Falls: Best Practices and Standards” this October 20th-22nd. Through ASSE’s virtual symposium attendees participate in an online environment where safety professionals from around the world learn, share their experiences and ask questions. It provides online learning opportunities without leaving one’s own desk.

This virtual symposium will discuss how to minimize the cost of slips, trips and falls – both personal and financial – in the workplace. ASSE and its members have found that slips, trips and falls account for a vast majority of workplace incidents and can negatively affect employees as well as cause a significant financial burden on organizations. This symposium will discuss best practices and solutions aimed at preventing slips, trips and falls at work. For more information and how to participate in this virtual symposium please go to the Slips, Trips, and Falls Symposium section of the ASSE website.
