August 7, 2008

Battelle announced recently that the Air Force awarded a four year, $18.5 million contract to upgrade training systems supporting the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) fleet of F-15S fighter aircraft.

As prime contractor, Battelle’s team will design, develop, and perform training systems upgrades needed to accommodate transition of the RSAF F-15S fleet to new F-110-GE-129C engines. Work will be performed at Battelle’s Columbus, OH, and Peoria, AZ facilities, and subcontractor facilities.

The work will specifically involve upgrade engineering and modification of the F-15S Aircraft Maintenance Trainer (AMT) and Integrated Avionics Trainer (IAT) employed to train and maintain proficiency of F-15S maintenance technicians and aircrew.
