Celebration to mark the start of construction at Crosspointe, the first Rolls-Royce aerospace manufacturing facility built from-the-ground-up in the US is taking place on October 19th, 2009. Located on over 1,000 acres in Prince George County Virginia, Crosspointe is the largest Rolls-Royce site by area in North America. In addition to manufacturing, the Crosspointe campus will also be home to two unique research partnerships – the Commonwealth Center of Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) and the Commonwealth Center for Aerospace Propulsion Systems (CCAPS) – founded by the Commonwealth of Virginia, the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Rolls-Royce and others.
