Chantilly Firm Awarded Utility Locating Contract
December 18, 2008

Chantilly-based Mid-Atlantic Utility Locating was awarded the Arlington County contract for on-call utility locating services. Arlington County will now use Mid-Atlantic every time they need to locate underground utilities, which is necessary before project construction can begin in Arlington. The initial contract is for one year, but the County will have an option to renew for two additional years.

“This is a great award for us. Not only are we thrilled to be working with Arlington County, but it solidifies our standing as a quality Subsurface Utility Engineering firm in the area” said Aaron Blow, Director of Mid-Atlantic. Mr. Blow has been the Director since its inception in 2003. Since that time, Mid-Atlantic has become a premier provider of utility locating and designating, as well as test hole services. In addition, Mid-Atlantic is currently working on other projects such as the National Harbor in Maryland; VDOT I-66 Widening in Virginia; InterCounty Connector in Maryland; and the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Extension in Virginia.
