January 30, 2017

The Home Innovation Research Labs (HIRL), which provides administrative support for the National Green Building Standard (NGBS), has announced that a new consensus committee is being formed to develop the next edition of the NGBS. Individuals interested in serving on this consensus committee or any of its task groups are invited to submit an application by February 6, 2017. The application forms, as well as other relevant information, can be found at the HIRL website.

Home Innovation Research Labs also is accepting proposed changes to the 2015 edition of the NGBS. Proposed changes must be submitted by March 1, 2017, using the forms provided via the site linked above. The first meeting of the consensus committee will take place April 18-19, 2017, in Washington, DC, at which time the committee will begin reviewing any proposals received by that date.
