October 20, 2010
Engineering educators and researchers from around the world will convene in Arlington to discuss educating the next generation of engineers and emerging trends in engineering and computing education research and practice.
The 40th annual Frontiers in Education conference, hosted by The University of Virginia (U.Va.) School of Engineering and Applied Science and the Virginia Tech College of Engineering, continues a tradition of disseminating the latest results in these areas through the presentation of papers, special sessions, panels and workshops.
In addition to being hosted by the engineering schools, the conference is sponsored by three professional societies – the American Society for Engineering Education, Educational Research and Methods Division: Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Education Society and IEEE Computer Society.
The conference will hold two special sessions devoted to assessing what has been accomplished in engineering education in the first 40 years of Frontiers in Education and identifying challenges for the next 40 years.
The conference will be held October 27th to 30th, 2010 at the Marriott Crystal Gateway Hotel. For information and to register, visit here.
