Floodplain Mapping Experts To Participate In 2011 National Conference

Expert floodplain mapping personnel from Maryland-based engineering consulting firm Greenhorne & O’Mara (G&O) are participating in the 35th annual Association of State Floodplain Managers National Conference being held in Louisville, KY, May 15th-20th, 2011. This year’s theme is “Flood Risk Management: The Winning Ticket.”

This is viewed as the world’s largest and most comprehensive floodplain management conference. More than 200 industry experts will conduct plenary and concurrent sessions and share the state-of-the-art techniques, programs, and resources to reduce flood risk and accomplish flood mitigation, watershed management, and other community goals.

G&O will be represented by nine experts who will be presenting, moderating, or participating in the sessions. They are: Vince DiCamillo, CFM, Senior Vice President, Water and Environment; Mary Searing, P.E., D.WRE, GISP; Ginger Dadds, P.E., CFM, LEED AP; Kevin Donnelly, P.E., CFM; Alex Haptemariam, P.E., CFM; Sudhanshu Mishra, P.E., CFM; D. Michael Parrish, PhD, P.E.; Stephen Smith, CFM; and William Zung, CFM.

More than 1,200 participates from the private, local, state, and federal sectors from the United States and several foreign countries are expected.
