GE Announces New Security Technology Center

Fairfield, Conn.-based General Electric Co. has announced plans to open an Information Security Technology Center in the Richmond, Va. area at the Innsbrook Corporate Center office park later this year. While the new center will focus primarily on cybersecurity, GE officials noted that other work performed at the center will include network design and architecture, data management and application development.

The Virginia Jobs Investment Program, administered by the Virginia Department of Business Assistance, will provide $300,000 to help pay for employee recruitment and job training..
