H&A Announces 2010 Internship Recipients

H&A Architects & Engineers (H&A) announces its 2010 Summer Internship Program recipients. The Richmond-based design firm, located in Innsbrook, is committed to increasing interest and knowledge in the engineering industry. The purpose of the Summer Program is to provide meaningful work for entry-level student engineers.

Every year a rising senior is chosen by four local colleges for a scholarship awarded by H&A which includes a paid summer internship. This year’s scholarships include the following:

Electrical Engineering from Old Dominion University, Civil Engineering from Virginia Military Institute, Structural Engineering from Virginia Tech, and new this year, Life Safety/Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland.

The internship award recipients include:

  • Tyler Harrington, Virginia Tech, Structural Intern
  • Matthew Samson, Old Dominion University, Electrical Intern
  • Richard Steinhoff, Virginia Military Institute, Civil Intern (Returning from last year)
  • Michael White, Virginia Military Institute, Civil Intern
  • David Yates, University of Maryland, Life Safety/Fire Protection Intern
