Hampton Roads ASHRAE/IFMA Chapters Host Benefit For Kids
October 4, 2009

The Hampton Roads Chapter of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) and IMFA (International Facility Management Association) will hold their 2nd Annual E4K Pig Roast on Wednesday,October 7th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Talbot Hall, 600 Talbot Hall Road, Norfolk, Virginia.

E4K (Energy for Kids) was developed to help local charities lower the costs associated with heating, cooling and making domestic hot water for their facilities. While rates for fossil fuel may rise, the ASHRAE/IFMA E4K substantially improves these systems, helps lower consumption and overall cost of operations and helps reduce the building’s carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions.

This year’s beneficiary will be For Kids, a local organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness for children and families. The public is invited to join with ASHRAE and IFMA to help fund this effort. To order tickets, go online to or www.ifma-hamptonroads. org
