ICC-ES Now Evaluating Building Products To IGCC Requirements
October 27, 2010

ICC Evaluation Service, LLC (ICC-ES) has announced that it is ready to serve its current and new clients by certifying their products and materials to the requirements of the International Green Construction Code (IGCC).

The Rhode Island Green Buildings Act identifies the IGCC as a standard to determine compliance with requirements that all public agency major facility projects be designed and constructed as green buildings. The state has joined other jurisdictions that have already adopted the IGCC.

“ICC-ES offers a client-friendly evaluation for its current and new clients,” says Shahin Moinian, Executive Director of ICC-ES Certification Programs. “ICC-ES can apply its fast track service at clients’ request to meet the clients’ needs and certify products to the requirements of IGCC. ICC-ES can also conduct additional certifications to CALGreen, NAHB and ICC’S ICC 700-2008, LEED and other sustainability targets at the client’s request. This ‘one-stop shop’ service will ease the pain of product certification for manufacturers.”

A nonprofit, limited liability company, ICC-ES is the United States’ leading evaluation service for innovative building materials, components and systems. ICC-ES Evaluation Reports and PMG Listings provide evidence that products and systems meet requirements in codes and standards. The ICC-ES SAVE program provides manufacturers with verification that their products meet specific sustainability targets defined by today’s green rating systems, standards and codes.

ICC-ES is a subsidiary of the International Code Council.
