IEEE WCET Announces Fall 2010 Testing Period
August 6, 2010

The IEEE Wireless Communication Engineering Technologies (IEEE WCET®) Certification Program has announced October 3rd – 30th, 2010 as the next testing period for its ongoing series of examinations dedicated to certifying the wireless communications expertise of professionals worldwide. The application deadline for this upcoming exam cycle is September 17th, 2010.

In addition, professionals who would like to greatly expand their overall knowledge and expertise in the wireless field are also invited to enroll in a one-day course to be held October 10th, 2010 at 4G World in Chicago, IL. This full-day session titled “Practical Wireless Communications Engineering” is designed to highlight current technologies and practices from engineering, architectural, operational, standards and management perspectives as well as cover networking and the evolution of wireless technologies.

Other professional career development opportunities offered to wireless professionals by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) include enrollment in a virtual, five-day training program, which will be offered this fall and dedicated to advancing knowledge of all the key IEEE WCET learning areas. Once enrolled, individuals will then be able to log on and participate in the program from the locations of their choice.
