History Channel Series Features Local Archaeologist

The History Channel’s new series, Chasing Mummies: the Amazing Adventures of Zahi Hawass, features Paciulli, Simmons & Associates’ Dr. Allan Morton, RPA. Dr. Morton is Associate Partner and Director of Cultural Resources at Paciulli, Simmons & Associates, a leading multi-disciplinary engineering and consulting firm.

Dr. Morton spent five months in Egypt working alongside world famous Egyptologist, Dr. Zahi Hawass, for the filming of this unique new series that follows Dr. Hawass and his team on a challenging and exhilarating adventure through the sweltering desert and valleys of Egypt as they discover new archeological finds and unearth new treasures. Viewers are offered a first hand look at the archaeological process in discovering new ancient Egyptian finds while experiencing daily obstacles.

The 10-episode series Chasing Mummies premiered Wednesday, July 14th and airs Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. on the History Channel.

Dr. Morton has worked as a professional archaeologist for 20 years. He holds a master’s degree in Historic Preservation and museums and a Ph.D. in Prehistoric Archaeology from Cambridge University in England.
