New Manual Supplemented by Regional Seminars
October 9, 2008

A series of seminars in 46 cities across the United States will provide concrete designers and specifiers information on the many important changes in ACI 318-08.

The seminars, co-sponsored by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and Portland Cement Association (PCA), give a step-by-step guide of the new code provisions and show participants how to implement them in their day-to-day work activities. The courses are led by members of the ACI committee that produced the codes, engineers who are uniquely qualified to explain each change, why it was made, and what it means to designers and specifiers of structural concrete.

The one-day courses begin October 1st, 2008 and will be offered in several cities through May 12th, 2009. Cost is $457 for ACI national members, $597 for non-members and $125 for full-time students. All attendees receive three free publications: – PCA Notes on ACI 318-08 Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete with Design Applications, the ACI 318-08 Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete and Commentary, and Seminar Lecture Notes, a $298.00 value.

For more information, seminar locations and to register, visit or call 248.848.3709.
