Pervious Demo at ASCC Annual Conference

Demonstrations of pervious (porous) concrete placement and three-dimensional (3D) paving will highlight the “American Society of Concrete Contractors’: (ASCC) Annual Conference, from September 11-14, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza Riverwalk, San Antonio.

Concrete contractors and manufacturers of concrete-related products will gather for two and one-half days of seminars, roundtable discussions, demonstrations and networking. Seminar topics include Immigration — Where Do We Stand?, Pervious Concrete — Warts & All, Troubleshooting Decorative Concrete and Marketing Concrete Parking Lots.

Roundtable discussions will cover such topics as Prospering in a Down Market, Branding Your Company, Immigration, Decorative Concrete Layout and Contracts & Risk Management. In addition to demos on pervious concrete and 3D paving, decorative concrete experts will construct a replica of the front of The Alamo using vertical concrete application materials and techniques.

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) flatwork finisher certification class and exam and the NRMCA pervious concrete certification will be offered on Saturday, September 13th, 2008 in conjunction with the Conference. A golf tournament and guest tours will be part of the activities.
