April 4, 2018

The Piney Run community was recently selected as a winner in the Best Protected Environmentally Sensitive Site category of the 2017 Land Conservation and Tree Preservation Award Program hosted by Fairfax County. This award recognizes the outstanding efforts made by a project team in employing responsible land disturbance techniques and good construction practices to protect the properties and resources of Fairfax County.

Once complete, the Piney Run community will consist of 117 townhomes, 22 single family homes, and 123 multifamily units on a 47-acre site in southeastern Fairfax County. Dewberry prepared a generalized development plan, special exception plan amendment, and a site plan for the project.
