ASFE/The Geoprofessional Business Association announces that registration is now open for ASFE’s July Webinar.
“I don’t spell well” is hardly an excuse for being unable to spell at a sixth- or seventh-grade level. Microsoft’s spell checker can help, but not when it comes to affect or effect, compliment or complement, stationary or stationery, and so on. Making the wrong choice tarnishes your professional image. Worse: It can cause you to say something you did not intend while failing to say what you did. How do you remember which word is which? Whether it’s it’s or its (it’s not its’). Insofar as your proposals, reports, contracts, memos, e-mails, texts, et al. are concerned, you need to know how to spell about 25 words (which actually means about 50, because each word represents at least two choices; sometimes [there or they’re or their] three).
Get ready for 25 Words You Need To Know How To Spell (Because Spellczech Won’t Help) on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 12 noon EDST. For details and reservations, click here.
