Safety Engineers to Converge on Baltimore
December 28, 2007

The upcoming American Society of Safety Engineers’ (ASSE) The Business of Safety – A Matter of Success Symposium will feature sessions on how integrating safety into the construction of Baltimore’s Harbor East contributed to its success; aligning safety with industry business strategy; designing out workplace hazards;
successfully managing vendors; contract writing, and more, along with an executive forum and case study roundtables. The Symposium will be held in Baltimore, March 13-14, 2008, at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel, 101 Fayette Street Baltimore, Maryland 21201.

ASSE and the Symposium Task Force are responding to members’
requests to increase their knowledge on business and leadership tactics. They have developed this symposium aimed at helping attendees achieve a high-level performance of safety at their company and how to align safety within their organization’s business goals. The symposium’s feature speakers are
recognized business leaders Chuck Martin and Roger Dawson.

The symposium will also feature case study roundtables where
successful techniques for linking safety to the business goals of the organization will be discussed.
