Timmons Group to Create Government Center Corridor
April 16, 2009

Timmons Group announced recently that the firm was awarded a contract with Colonial Heights to provide streetscape/landscape architecture services to create a new image for the Government Center Corridor of Route 1 through the City. Funds will be used to implement phase one, which includes access management, signage, landscaping, lighting, accessibility and enhanced pedestrian connectivity. The City of Colonial Heights, teaming with the business community, is making a major commitment to the beautification and safety of this corridor.

“Our landscape architects are collaborating with the City of Colonial Heights to transform the character and spirit of the pedestrian experience and promote economic viability along this major arterial corridor through the City,” said LuGay Lanier, Senior Landscape Architect with Timmons Group. “A regional palette reflecting native planting materials, hardscape, lighting and site furnishings will create a unique identity.”
