TISP Breakfast Speaker Series Event

The Infrastructure Security Partnership’s (TISP) Breakfast Speaker Series will feature a presentation by Maj. Gen. Don T. Riley, Deputy Chief of Engineers and Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), on specific USACE actions that impact critical infrastructure, including the group’s focus on sustainability, review and inspection of completed works, effective communication of risk and public involvement in risk reduction strategies. Maj. Gen. Riley will also cover how these actions support the USACE’s goals of supporting stability, reconstruction and homeland security operations, developing sound water resources solutions and enhancing lifecycle infrastructure management.

In addition, Riley will discuss USACE levee safety and flood risk management initiatives and the importance of public/private and interagency partnerships.

The breakfast event will be held Thursday, January 24, 2008, 8 – 9:30 a.m. at the Army and Navy Club, 901 17th Street, NW, Washington, D.C.. The event is open to the press. Advance registration is preferred. For more information, or to register, contact Karen Albers.
