Clark Nexsen is pleased to announce that their design for Sitter Barfoot Veteran’s Care Center in Richmond and Skanska USA Civil Southeast Inc. in Virginia Beach were recipients of first place awards in two categories of the 2008 Interior Design Excellence Awards. This awards program is presented by the ASID Virginia Chapter and IIDA Virginia/West Virginia Chapter.

SITTER BARFOOT VETERANS CARE CENTER
Sitter Barfoot Veteran’s Care Center included full-scope services for a 160 bed, long-term care facility for Virginia veterans on a 19.2 acre site. The one-story building consists of three wings with two levels of care, nursing and Alzheimer’s. The design concept was based on the desire for a residential and community atmosphere with single patient resident rooms.

SKANSKA USA CIVIL SOUTHEAST INC.
Clark Nexsen was retained to create an elegant and flexible new headquarters facility for Skanska. The new office is located in 34,000 square feet of renovated corporate office space.
