Wiley|Wilson to Design Research and Education Facility
April 17, 2009

The Center for Advanced Engineering and Research (CAER) has selected Wiley|Wilson, a Lynchburg based architecture and engineering firm, to design its new 25,000-square-foot research and education facility planned for the New London Business and Technology Park in Bedford County. The project is made possible in part due to a $7.6 million award from the Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission.

With a planned completion date in the fall of 2010, the facility will meet the needs of local industry, with research and development in areas of energy, wireless communications and electronics. It will include research labs, simulation areas, meeting rooms for travelling professors, and classroom space for the region’s engineers and scientists.

For more information, please contact:
CAER: Bob Bailey at or phone (434) 847-1447.
Wiley|Wilson: Tim Groover at or phone (434) 947-1651.
