Aegis is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia and provides services throughout the United States to clients in varying industries. Aegis also operates a Florida Branch Office out of Jacksonville, Florida.

Aegis Environmental, Inc. is seeking a registered Professional Engineer for our Richmond, Virginia office. The successful candidate for this role would be a registered Professional Engineer (registration in Virginia is a plus) with 5-10 years experience in UST/AST, SPCC, FRP, Virginia Pollution Prevention and Pennsylvania EERP regulations. Electric and gas utility experience is a plus. The candidate must be able to perform difficult and complex work requiring thorough knowledge of the subject matter and significant experience within functional assignment area. The position will likely require working as an adjunct staff member at a Richmond area location of an existing Aegis client.

This person would schedule and coordinate major segments of complex projects to meet cost and time objectives. They would plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. This person devises new approaches to problems encountered and develops engineering criteria ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.

Strong leadership skills with proven ability to serve as team project lead;
Provide guidance to less experienced engineers/technical staff;
Strong oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing);
Strong personal computer skills;
Training experience;
Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems;
Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices;
In depth knowledge of various computer applications, with the ability to manipulate personal computer applications and perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g. Excel, etc.);
Equally effective working independently or in team environment;.
Proven decision making skills;
Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks; and
Strong planning, organizational and project management skills.
