Wilbur Smith Associates is pleased to announce that Randall A. Harris, P.E. joined the firm as Associate in Charge of the Richmond, VA Office. Previously Transportation Group Manager at Stantec Consulting, Mr. Harris has 19 years of diversified engineering design experience, including construction management of roadway projects and all aspects of highway design. He received his B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering Design and Urban Planning from North Carolina A&T University.
Wilbur Smith Associates is also pleased to announce the promotion of Timothy White, P.E. to Regional Vice President with overall responsibility for management of business operations and business development for the firm’s Mid-Atlantic Region. He has been with the firm for 7 years, prior to which he held a number of positions in the Traffic Engineering Division of the Virginia Department of Transportation.

SFCS Inc. has named Kerry D. Buck, AIA and Allen W. Hale, AIA as Vice Presidents in the firm. Stephen B. Cates, P.E. has been named Senior Associate. David R. Jones, AIA and L. Blain Cahill, P.E. have been named Associates.
Mr. Buck joined the firm nine years ago and currently serves as Project Manager for senior living projects in Mississippi, North Carolina, and Ohio. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
Mr. Hale joined SFCS 18 years ago and is currently serving as Project Manager for senior living projects in Virginia and Ohio. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
Mr. Cates has been with the firm for 19 years and currently serves as Mechanical Engineer for senior living and education projects in Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina. He received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
Mr. Jones has been with SFCS for 7 years and currently serves as Project Architect for senior living, education, and healthcare projects in Virginia, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, North Carolina and South Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
Mr. Cahill has been with the firm for over one year. He currently serves as a Mechanical Engineer on senior living and higher education projects in Virginia and Ohio. He received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Georgia Southern University.

Anderson & Associates, Inc. (A&A) would like to congratulate James Causarano on his promotion to Project Engineer in their Fredericksburg office and Angela Parrish, on her promotion to Project Manager in their Blacksburg office.

The Woodbridge and Fredericksburg offices of Patton Harris Rust & Associates (PHR+A) announce the addition of two senior staff members to their growing engineering departments.
Robert J. Gagne, Jr., P.E., LS, has joined the Woodbridge office as Director of Land Development. Mr. Gagne received his MSCE in Engineering Management and his B.S. degree in Urban Systems Engineering from George Mason University.
Robin N. (Doc) Godshall, P.E., has joined the staff of PHR+A’s Fredericksburg office as a Senior Project Manager. He has over 20 years of engineering experience throughout the Mid-Atlantic region working for both private and public sector clients. Mr. Godshall received both his PhD. and M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from Duke University, his Masters of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech, and his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute.

Timmons Group is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Michael Bott as a Senior Project Manager in the Environmental Services group. Mr. Bott brings over 12 years of environmental and project management expertise to the firm and will be responsible for oversight of environmental assessments and other compliance areas. He will also provide business development assistance for his group. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Bott was Vice President and Director of Operations for Dominion Due Diligence Group in Glen Allen, VA, for nearly 10 years. He graduated from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA, with a B.A. degree in Geography.

Lui K. Zukosky, E.I.T. and Jon-Marc Hilgers have joined MMM Design Group as a structural engineer and electrical designer, respectively.
Mr. Zukosky, an environmental science graduate of the University of Virginia (B.S.) and civil engineering graduate of Old Dominion University (B.S.) joined the firm this October. He brings over six years of structural engineering and environmental design experience, including material testing, special inspections, geotechnical engineering, and foundation design. His most recent work experience includes serving as a project manager and senior engineer for Froehling & Robertson, Inc. in Chesapeake, VA.
Mr. Hilgers, an electrical technician graduate of Tidewater Community College, also joined the firm this October. He brings over 12 years of electrical engineering design and drafting experience, including construction documentation, power, lighting and special systems design, and field investigations. His most recent work experience includes serving as an electrical designer for Hickman-Ambrose in Chesapeake, VA, and Hayes, Seay, Mattern & Mattern in Virginia Beach, VA.

Mark J. DelSordo and Carrie L. Kane have joined the professional staff in the Virginia Beach office of Hayes, Seay, Mattern & Mattern, Inc. (HSMM). Mr. DelSordo, a graduate of Old Dominion University with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, has joined the firm’s structural department as a structural engineer, while Ms. Kane, an addition to the business development department, graduated from Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio with a Bachelor of Marketing degree.

Carson, Harris & Associates, headquartered in Warrenton, VA, recently announced the following additions to their staff.
Chris Hritsik, P.E. recently joined the firm as a Senior Project Manager. Mr. Hritsik, a graduate of Virginia Tech, brings over 10 years experience in land-use planning, development, engineering and construction to the firm.
Les Nichols has joined the company as Director of Marketing and Operations. Mr. Nichols brings to the firm over twenty years of project management and customer service experience with the last thirteen years as Vice President and Director of Customer Service for Piedmont Press and Graphics.
Melanie Reeves joins Carson/Harris as a design engineer. Ms. Reeves has over fifteen years experience in surveying and engineering with specific experience in Fairfax, Frederick and Loudoun counties.
Milford W. Berkey, Jr. has joined Carson/Harris as a project manager. Mr. Berkey, a graduate of Penn State University brings over twenty years experience in surveying and engineering in Fauquier and surrounding counties.

Douglas E. Yon, P.E. has accepted a position with Facility Engineering Associates, P.C. (FEA) as Project Manager in the Condition Assessment and Facility Management group in Fairfax, VA. Mr. Yon comes to FEA from VFA, Inc. in Boston, MA. He earned his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. He brings over 25 years of facilities, construction, and energy management experience to FEA.

TBE Group, a subsurface utility engineering (SUE) and utility coordination consulting and engineering firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Michael P. Woods, from Assistant Director to Director. Based in the firm’s Richmond, VA, office, Mr. Woods continues in his role as Utilities Division Business Unit Manager for TBE’s Virginia/Delaware/Maryland operations. Mr. Woods has 19 years of utility engineering/coordination experience. He joined TBE in 1998 and was appointed Assistant Director in 2001. Prior to joining TBE, Mr. Woods worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), where he had served most recently as Transportation Engineer in VDOT’s Right-of-Way and Utilities Division. He completed three years of undergraduate study in urban planning at Virginia Commonwealth University, and three years of undergraduate study in architecture at Virginia Tech.

Resource International Ltd., would like to announce the following additions and promotions to their offices.
Margaret Estill has joined the Administration Department as an Administrative Services Manager. Ms. Estill has over 10-years experience as an Office Manager. Her attention to detail and professionalism will make her a valuable asset to the Resource team.
Bryan McIlwee, E.I.T., has been promoted from Staff Engineer to Project Engineer III due to hard work, dedication, and expanding project management abilities and growing design experience.

ECS Mid-Atlantic recently announced that John Russell has joined the firm as a senior project geologist. He was previously with IMS Environmental Services, Inc.
The firm also announced that Shelby Perkins is business development director.

Jesse Doran has been named as a specialist, Julie Pomeroy is a CAD technician, Colleen Mitchell, Kurt Weishaar and Rajendra Shrestha are project engineers, and Stephen Crowe is a project manager.

Draper Aden has recently announced that Susan Sims has joined the firm as an accounting specialist, David B. Good IV is a senior project surveyor and John Hassler is a computer specialist.
