ASFE/The Best People on Earth has published the second edition of its widely used Model Daily Field Report for Geotechnical Field Observation. ASFE is a not-for-profit trade association established to help geoprofessional, environmental, and civil engineering firms “prosper through professionalism.” The organization’s Construction Materials Engineering and Testing Committee (CoMET) developed the new, 20-page publication.
Model Daily Field Report for Geotechnical Field Observation includes a model DFR Page 1, model user instructions on how to complete Page 1, a model report page (complete with user prompts designed to help field representatives secure better information), model user instructions for the report page, and a model DFR site sketch with model user instructions. The publication also includes instructions to help firms customize the document and create a daily field report that is uniquely their own. The instructions provide guidance on information to include, achieving continuity, gaining firmwide input, monitoring use, and preparing user instructions.
Model Daily Field Report for Geotechnical Field Observation is available for $150 per copy. It can be ordered from ASFE’s website at www.asfe.org.
