ASME Turbo Expo 2006 Announced

April 04, 2006

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has announced the 2006 Turbo Expo, Power for Land, Sea and Air, will be held May 8 – 11, 2006, at the Barcelona Convention Center in Barcelona, Spain.

Power for Land, Sea and Air is an annual forum for discussing gas turbine technology as well as the business and economic issues affecting the global industry. Combining a technical program and equipment exhibit, TURBO EXPO brings together engineers, research scientists, educators and other professionals involved in the design, operation, and maintenance of gas turbines.

Technical sessions will cover engine design, materials, operations and maintenance, noise reduction in turbines, alternative fuels, combustion diagnostics, and micro-turbines, among other topics.

Organized and managed by the ASME International Gas Turbine Institute (IGTI), the exposition will showcase the products and services of engine manufacturers, software developers, companies engaged in pipeline operations, research laboratories, and other firms in the worldwide power industry.
