The American Welding Society (AWS) has announced price-saving
opportunities on Structural Bundles (collections of structural codes) that are the essential standards for quality fabrication. Three of the five bundles are library requirements for American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) certification. AWS members save an additional 25 percent on the non-member discounted bundle prices.
Collections offered at a savings include:
Bundle A: Structural steel/AISC Steel Building Structures, which consists of AWS D1.1/D1.1M:2004, Structural Welding Code—Steel, AWS A2.4:1998, Standard Symbols for Welding, Brazing, and Non-Destructive Examination, and AWS A3.0:2001, Standard Welding Terms and Definitions.
Bundle B: D1 All Structural Welding Codes consists of AWS D1.1/D1.1M: 2004, Structural Welding Code—Steel, AWS D1.2/D.1.2M: 2003, Structural Welding Code—Aluminum, AWS D1.3:1998, Structural Welding Code—Sheet Steel, AWS D1.4:1998, Structural Welding Code—Reinforcing Steel, AASHTO/AWS D1.5M/D1.5: 2002, Bridge Welding Code, and AWS D1.6:1999, Structural Welding Code—Stainless Steel.
Bundle C: AISC Conventional and Complex Steel Building Structures consists of AWS D1.1/D1.1M:2004, Structural Welding Code—Steel and AWS A2.4:1998, Standard Symbols for Welding, Brazing, and Non-Destructive Examination.
Bundle D: AISC Simple and Major Steel Bridges consists of AASHTO/AWS D1.5M/D1.5:2002, Bridge Welding Code and AWS A2.4:1998, Standard Symbols for Welding, Brazing, and Non-Destructive Examination.
Bundle E: Structural Aluminum consists of AWS D1.2/D1.2M:2003, Structural Welding Code—Aluminum, AWS A2.4:1998, Standard Symbols for Welding, Brazing, and Non-Destructive Examination, and AWS A3.0:2001, Standard Welding Terms and Definitions.
AWS continues to partner with Global Engineering Documents, the retail arm of Information Handling Services (IHS), for order fulfillment of all AWS standards and other publications. To order these and other AWS publications, please refer to the AWS 2005 Product Catalog, or contact Global Engineering Documents at 800- 854-7179 or visit their website at www.global.ihs.com. Also you can contact AWS Member Services at 800- 443-9353, (305- 443-9353 outside the U.S.), Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM ET or download the catalog from the AWS website, www.aws.org/catalogs.
The American Welding Society is the largest organization in the world dedicated to advancing the science, technology, and application of welding and allied processes, including joining, brazing, soldering, cutting, and thermal spray. Headquartered in
Miami, FL, USA, AWS serves almost 50,000 members in the United States and around the world. In 2005, the AWS Welding Show – the premiere trade show for the welding industry – will take place April 26 through April 28 in Dallas, TX, USA.
