Battelle has been awarded a task order contract with a potential ceiling of $1.9 billion to provide engineering and technical services to support Air Force weapon systems, subsystems, and related maintenance processes. This award builds on several similar contracts under which Battelle has successfully accomplished more than 300 projects worth $327 million over the past 18 years.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to continue our long history of supporting the Air Force,” said Pete Hennessey, VP for Battelle’s Air Force Sector. “In this time of war, improving performance and reducing the costs of weapon systems is a very tangible way for Battelle to support our military and contribute to our nation’s security.”
Battelle will lead a team of companies to improve the availability and effectiveness of Air Force aircraft and systems, and reduce the cost of operations and maintenance through cost-effective technology insertion.
Battelle is a global leader in science and technology headquartered in Columbus, Ohio since 1929. It manages laboratories, and develops and commercializes technologies and related services across the full spectrum of national security missions.
