Dewberry’s Richmond office recently hosted an open house and celebration of the firm’s 50th anniversary. The June 8 celebration marked considerable growth for this office that specializes in water and wastewater, transportation and land development services.
“We have a lot to celebrate,” said Dave Maxwell, senior associate and Richmond’s office manager. “During this past year, we doubled our staff as a result of some exciting and challenging new work.”
Dewberry is currently providing land development planning and engineering for the Spring Creek Development, a single-family housing community on a golf course in Louisa County, VA. The office is also lead designer on the Shelton Pointe Pump Station and Force Main for Hanover County, VA, and will be providing road relocation design at a rock quarry for the Luck Stone Corporation.
In March, during a company-wide celebration of Dewberry’s 50th anniversary, Chief Executive Officer Ronald L. Ewing announced that the firm exceeded its 2005 sales goal, reaching a new benchmark of $300 million. The firm is on track to meet a similar goal in 2006 and is exploring future expansion opportunities.
