Engineering Design Services Completed

Hankins and Anderson, a Richmond, VA, consulting engineering firm, in conjunction with The Louis Berger Group and Davis Brody Bond Architects, completed engineering design services for a site master plan, concept design, and preparation of Design-Build Request for Proposal documents for the construction of a new 171,000 m2 (1,800,000 SF) Embassy Compound located on a 104-acre (42 hectare) site in the International Zone in Baghdad, Iraq. The project, to be executed using four separate prime contracts along with multiple smaller IDIQ task order contracts, includes a New Office Building, General Services Offices, Marine Security Guard Quarters, office annexes, Commissary, Post Exchange, associated warehouse and maintenance facilities, housing, support facilities, community center, recreation center, kennel, motor pool, perimeter compound security, site infrastructure, vehicular and pedestrian access control facilities, parking, and site recreational facilities including softball and soccer fields and tennis and basketball courts.
