Frederick Ward Associates (FWA) announced recently that it will sell its branch office in Columbia, MD. The full-service architectural, engineering, planning and surveying firm will continue to serve its Howard County clients from its headquarters in Bel Air, MD. FWA will sell the Columbia branch to Robert H. Vogel Engineering, Inc., which plans to provide engineering services to private land development clients.
FWA also announced that it will sell its branch office in Warrenton, VA. The firm will continue to serve its Virginia and Washington, DC clients from its headquarters in Bel Air, MD. FWA will sell the Warrenton branch to DRH Design Group, which plans to focus on engineering and surveying for private land development in Virginia.
Craig Ward, president of FWA, said the strategy will strengthen the firm’s core business focus. “We are working very hard to make sure that the changeover will be transparent. Our top priority is maintaining service and quality, and FWA’s clients should experience no interruption to communications or work progress,” he said. Ward declined to discuss financial details of the sales, as settlement is pending. However, he said, “We anticipate that the divestiture will significantly decrease our overhead and have a very positive impact on our balance sheet.” For more information about Frederick Ward Associates, visit the firm’s Web site at Frederick Ward Associates Webpage
