IAS Releases New Web Site

August 15, 2005

The International Accreditation Service (IAS) has rolled out a new web site, www.iasonline.org, to provide information about its accreditation services including two new programs for the accreditation of building departments and special inspection agencies.

IAS accredits testing and calibration laboratories, inspection agencies, building departments, fabricator inspection programs and special inspection agencies. A recognized accreditation body since 1975, IAS is a nonprofit, public benefit corporation. IAS is one of the leading accreditation bodies in the United States and a signatory to several international mutual recognition arrangements (MRAs).

The new web site makes it easy to find organizations that have become accredited under all IAS programs. Visitors to the site can simply click on “Accreditation Search” from the splash page and then search for accreditations by company name, industry standard or accreditation listing number. You can also view a complete list of entities in each accreditation category. All accreditation listings are available free for download in PDF.

Visitors to the IAS web site will also find accreditation criteria and guidelines, application materials, the latest news about IAS activities and other useful information.
