The NACE Foundation recently announced that Amber Pappas has been named as the new Executive Director. Ms. Pappas has a strong background in business development and strategic planning and brings over 15 years of marketing and communications experience to the NACE Foundation. She has recently relocated to Houston from Athens, Greece where she was the General Manager of an international advertising/public relations agency. In addition, Ms. Pappas has a strong political background as she has been a consultant and participated in numerous local, state and national political campaigns. This has given her the opportunity of working with political leaders from all areas of government.
As the newest addition to the NACE Foundation, Ms. Pappas is already working hard to spread the mission of the Foundation in educating and exciting students and the public about corrosion science and engineering.
The NACE Foundation was created in 2002 by NACE International, The Corrosion Society, a professional technical society that offers technical training and certification programs, sponsors conferences, and produces industry standards and reports, publications and software. Established in 1943, NACE International has more than 15,000 members worldwide and is dedicated to promoting public safety, protecting the environment, and reducing the economic impact of corrosion by advancing the knowledge of corrosion engineering and science.
