NACE Schedules New Standard Seminar

June 21, 2005

NACE International will present a seminar on NACE MR0175/ISO 15156, “Petroleum and natural gas industries-Materials for use in H2S-containing environments in oil and gas production,” September 17, 2005, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at The Westin Calgary Hotel, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Before publication of NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 in December 2003, a NACE technical committee spent seven-plus years revising MR0175, particularly the requirements for corrosion-resistant alloys (CRAs), because of the increasing use of existing alloys and development of new alloys, leading to the need for interpretation.

In this one-day seminar, experts will present information, including background and changes to the standard; the differences between NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 and earlier editions of MR0175; how to select materials using the new standard; and case studies that will include attendee participation.

Registration fees include lunch, two breaks, a binder with the presentations, and a bonus copy of NACE MR0175/ISO 15156.

Advance registration fees are $295 for NACE members and $395 for nonmembers. After August 29th, and on site, registration fees are $395 for NACE members and $495 for nonmembers.

To register, contact NACE FirstService at 1/800-797-NACE (6223) in the U.S. and Canada, and +1 281/228-6223 worldwide, or visit
