The National Trust for Historic Preservation will host the 11th International Conference of National Trusts in Washington, D.C., October 15-19, 2005. With its diverse resources, strong preservation organizations and many success stories, Washington is an ideal city to explore emerging issues and strategies in historic preservation.
The conference will feature a rich array of global leaders, activists, and practitioners in the fields of preservation, heritage tourism, historic site management, and conservation who will address the conference theme, “Sustaining World Heritage in the 21st Century.”
The International Conference of National Trusts is a premier international educational event focused on the preservation of the
world’s historic places and communities. The conference will provide educational sessions; unique explorations of Washington, D.C. and its surrounding regions; and opportunities for international preservationists from more than 40 countries to gather and share preservation challenges and tactics.
