First of all, I want to say that this company was recommended to us, and we read the reviews, which is why we chose them. Mr. Harkleroad told us that they were very busy, and it would be about 6 weeks before they could get to us. That was a very long time, but he did give us a very fair price, so we decided to go with ...them. We put up a temporary fix for the leak, (a tarp), and told him this. He said that he would come up and put some black mammy on the area, so it wouldn't leak, but he never came - he told us that twice. After about 2 weeks, however, Mr. Harkleroad told my husband that he would be up at the end of the week to put our roof on. No one showed up when they were supposed to. My husband called and left a message with Mr. Harkleroad, he did not call back, so my husband tried and again, was told that it would be in a few days, as they were tied up. This series of events happened 5 MORE TIMES. He even told my husband that he didn't have any more lies he could tell him (jokingly, I'm sure), but that he would have the shingles delivered by last Monday, and they would be there for sure. Guess what, no shingles and no workers! At this time, it has been 7 weeks since he first said he would do the job. So, last Tuesday, I called the office, rather than his cell, and got Mr. Harkleroad's wife. I explained the situation, and she said she would "rattle his cage" and tell him we needed to be put at the front of the line since he had made so many promises to us. She said he had been over promising, and I was not the first one to complain. She took my number and told me she would call me back after she spoke with him. But, it will be a week tomorrow since she told me that and I have not heard from her, so I called back today. After refreshing her memory, she said oh, yes I do remember, but I'm sorry, I don't have any good news to tell you. "What?" was my reply. She said he had gotten involved in 2 industrial jobs, and they had turned into a nightmare. I asked why she didn't call me back and let me know something. She said she didn't have a time frame to give me, so she couldn't. I said yes, you most certainly could have so we could make other plans, and this is exactly the same thing your husband has been doing. I said at this point, we will just go with someone else. She told me I was not the first person to call and cancel because of the same reasons, and she was sorry. "Not as sorry as I am!" was my reply. Who does business like that? If you can't, or don't want to do a job, just inform the potential customer so they can go with someone else, and not have a tarp on their roof for weeks (without black mammy) because of your lack of communication and commitment to other jobs. I get that the industrial jobs pay more, but come on!!! More text

Absolute joke. For over 3 weeks I've called and ask for someone to take a look at a leaky roof and they always responded with "someone will be there tomorrow" They obviously cant handle their own scheduling so I called today and they couldn't be bothered. "Just call someone else" was the response, he couldn'tgetme of...f the phone fast enough. . Waste of time. Unprofessional. Take the owner's advice and call someone else. More text

Jeff and his crew (an army of about 17 according to my mother) went to my parent’s house in Bristol, Va and did their roof. My parents have a split 3 level house with a big pitch and these guys handled it in one day. Mom was not only thrilled with the way the roof looked, she was amazed at how her yard, porch, and even... window sills looked. She said there are no nails, no pieces of shingles, not even a maple seed and the roof had been covered in them. She said they power washed everything and made the house look beautiful. My mother is very picky about the way the house look and for her to keep gushing about how they did is high praise indeed. On behalf of my parents (who have no idea how to leave a review) we highly recommend Jeff and his company for any of your roofing needs!!!! More text
