Very poor communication. Expect to not get return phones calls for weeks at a time. Very disappointing.

Called about my roof leaking. They called back right away. Never showed up. Had to call someone else who did show up right away.

They don't do residential roofing in va.beach where they have an office. Asked what areas they do roofing and they disconnected. Never told her I was in v.b and my cell phone # is out of Richmond.

To Whom It May Concern, I am a 20-year retired Navy veteran. As a former Commander in the United States Navy I have come to know and lead some of the finest Navy Officers in the world. Joshawa Herr is an individual that falls within that same group of outstanding individuals. Currently I work for a private shipyard... as contract manager and issue contracts to in excess of $3M/year. I know price, value and the traits needed to become a remarkable contractor. Baker Roofing is an outstanding contractor! I needed a new roof of 60 square installed on my home. I sought competition, made a best value determination and Baker Roof was my contractor of choice. In addition to price it was Joshawa Herr that earned Baker Roofing my best value decision. Joshawa Herr consistently demonstrates sustained superior performance as residential roofing department head/program manager. He is one of the most competent program managers know to me and also possesses a wide range of superior management and operational skills. Joshawa simply does everything well, he stands behind the motto “refuse to lose, refuse to quit”! Joshawa is a superb resource manager and the standard against which others are measured. Joshawa has absolutely superb performance across the board and is brilliant and innovative. He is a gifted manager and writer. It is almost impossible for me to convey in writing the admiration and respect I have for Josh. Nothing is too hard, impossible or beyond his abilities. The customer is his number one priority. Would of given Baker Roofing 5 stars for Michael Clark's professionalism. I explained to him I travel a lot for work and needed the repairs within a few days and he delivered. The only reason I gave this company 4 stars is because of inexperienced office personnel, long holding periods, and lacked professionalism.

I would like to take this opportunity to recognize Baker Roofing on their professional completion with the tear off and roofing of our multifamily community that consisted of 13 buildings. The completed the job in a timely manner, while maintaining the quality and professionalism to the residents and staff. Baker Roo...fing will be my choice of roofing contractors in the future. Wonderful company. Repaired my roof after my company who put on roof blew me off. They put new gutters on and my house looks great. Gave me a good price and answered all my questions. Getting ready for them to put new front door and shutters on soon. Nice people to work with. Highly recommend them!!!

I rarely write reviews but having based my decision to hire Baker roofing based on these reviews i felt compelled to write my own. We are a property management company so I have a lot of experience with all phases of maintaining properties. I was very impressed with Baker roofing until the project began. Their profe...ssionalism and communication appeared to be of a high quality. Once the job began it was a very different story. the first issue was not protecting the HVAC units. I discussed this with the supervisor who agreed to protect them with shields made out of plywood. The next day I get a call from a maintenance supervisor that a bundle of shingles had fallen on an HVAC unit while he was working on it. The unit was damaged as were his tools. If it had fallen a foot to the right he would have been hit. I came back the next day and they had protected some units but not others. They failed to clean up each day, leaving nails and shingles scattered around the property. With children playing this was something that was made very clear in the contract and that I reiterated repeatedly. Throughout the job i had to repeat one requirement after another. When it the job was finished they did not remove excess material or adequately clean up. I had to call three times for them to return to correct deficiencies. In the end the installation was well done but I was absolutely mistaken about the quality of their professionalism. When i asked to speak to whoever was in charge of the local office i did not get a return call in spite of the fact that the contract was for 100's of thousands of dollars. More text

I work for a property management/real estate firm based out of Columbus, Ohio managing tens of millions of square feet of retail centers. We have a number of properties in the area that Baker Roofing covers for us. We have been very happy with their level of customer service and communication with us. We have completed... roofing projects both large and small with them and we have been very satisfied with the quality of their staff, field superintendents and project managers alike. They have also been very helpful in resolving roof leak issues for all the different types of roof we have at our centers. I would highly recommend Baker Roofing to anyone from a homeowner to a large REIT. More text
